Wyrd Sisters

Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett is a satirical fantasy novel and part of the Discworld series.

It follows three witches – Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick who become entangled in political intrigue after the murder of the King of Lancre.

The king’s ghost seeks justice, and his infant heir is spirited away by the witches to safety. Meanwhile. the power-hungry Duke and Duchess attempt to solidify, their rule through manipulation and fear.

Drawing inspiration from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the witches must restore balance using wit, magic. and a bit of theatre.

As they meddle with fate and time, the story humorously explores themes of power, destiny, and the power of storytelling. Pratchett blends sharp parody with rich character development, highlighting the strength and complexity of the witches.

Wyrd Sisters is both a clever homage to classic literature and a witty exploration of Discworld’s magical and political chaos.

Wild, wacky and wonderful! Wyrd Sisters is shaping up well with a solid cast, but we want more.  There are 37 speaking roles, and 52 separate characters that appear on stage.  This is the perfect opportunity to invite a friend or family member to get a taste of the theatre in a production that has laughs every minute.

The production runs from the end of November to mid-December.
