PUSS IN THONGS

The story of “ Puss in Boots” is an old folk storey. It was first recorded some time during the sixteenth century by French author, Charles Perrault.

Judith Prior has put an Australian twist in her adaptation of this classic with “Puss in Thongs” fun pantomime.

Puss assures Harry that she can make them both rich, if he does everything she asks him to do. Harry must provide Puss with a pair of strong boots and a very grand hat. Not being able to afford much, they go to the local op shop, where they meet Dora, Doris and Daisy, the wonderfully eccentric, elderly volunteers.  Suitably attired, Puss sets out across the Great Sandy Desert to impress the King and convince him to allow Harry to marry the beautiful Princess.
During the expedition, we encounter a Bunyip, a witch, and other zany characters.

As in all good fairy tales, good eventually triumphs, Harry and the Princess are betrothed, Puss meets her soul mate, the witch meets a sticky end and all live happily ever after.
